Tatsoi 'Spoon Mustard'

Tatsoi is a tangy, versatile green, delicious served raw, lightly steamed or sautéed. Try wilting the leaves with a warm dressing like spinach, or add them to a soup at the end of cooking.


Sun or part shade.


Sow direct into the garden or in pots. Cover with Yates® Black Magic® Seed Raising Mix, firm down and keep moist.


  • Grow in sun or semi-shade.
  • Enrich soil with organic fertiliser (Yates® Thrive® Natural Blood & Bone is ideal) before planting.
  • Feed plants regularly.
  • Continuous harvest promotes new growth.
  • Protect plants from snails and slugs.


Pick leaves from early stages. Plants will continue to grow and can be repeat harvested.
